Honor America's Veterans this Veterans' Day

Today we honor all of our country’s veterans, who have made sacrifices serving in the military overseas and in wars, sometimes making the ultimate sacrifice. Through their collective efforts, our country’s veterans have shaped the course of human history, particularly from the 20th century until now. Our veterans deserve our gratitude and respect for the sacrifices they’ve made, and how their service has enabled our country and our society to be protected and preserved.

On this day, let us also reflect on the veterans who continue to suffer the after-effects of their service, often in terms of health. We must continue to ensure that veterans’ health and well-being is a priority for our government, and advocate for fair and appropriate support long after their service is completed.
